Co-Founder, VP Product & Engineering

Derek is a repeat tech Founder and experienced Engineering and Product leader. Over a 20-year career at startups and large enterprise alike, Derek has been instrumental in designing and coding scalable architecture and sound management processes for products and teams in information management, human resources, sales enablement, education, and more.

Jenna Truong

CFO

Based in Calgary, Jenna Truong (CPA) is a mission-driven leader with extensive global experience in private equity, fundraising, and finance operations. When she’s not elbow-deep in a financial model, you might find her on a kayak, motorcycle, trapeze, or parachute.

Sheila Fung

Director, Member Programming

Sheila Fung (M.Ed) is an educator, entrepreneur, coach and adventurer. Dedicated to the Career Success of Uvaro Members, she draws on her expertise in Adult Education, Crisis Intervention, and Sales Leadership to deliver stellar in-class experiences for Uvaro programs. Living and working remotely from rural Vancouver Island has forced Sheila to adapt in an unexpected way: wild-life interruptions are a normal part of her day-to-day.

Jeremy Shaki

CRO

Toronto-based Chief Revenue Officer Jeremy Shaki is the CEO and Co-Founder of Lighthouse Labs (acquired by Uvaro), where he spent 11 years revolutionizing tech education by fostering practical, hands-on learning environments. Jeremy's passion for bridging the gap between education and employment is only surpassed by his passion for being 2.7 minutes late to meetings.

Stephanie Wilson

VP, Global Impact

Stephanie is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in workforce development and social impact. Her career spans non-profit, government, and private sectors, where she has driven strategic partnerships and scaled innovative programs to tackle workforce challenges. Notable for her transformative leadership at Lighthouse Labs (acquired by Uvaro), Stephanie has also launched hundreds of community-focused programs and serves on several non-profit committees.
